Proposed programme
Workplace wellbeing that stays inside professional coaching.
Designed with the commissioning organisation. Not a fixed public course, and not an accredited qualification.
The organisational problem
Teams under sustained pressure are sometimes offered a wellbeing session that sounds clinical, or a motivational talk that does not change the working week. Managers also need a practical way to talk about workload without becoming counsellors.
Who it is for
Employees, managers and commissioned groups inside an organisation. HR and learning teams who want professional, non-clinical support.
What the programme can include
Included only where discovery shows they belong in this brief.
- Managing workplace pressure
- Building confidence at work
- Wellbeing conversations for managers
- Sustainable working habits
- Personal resilience as a working practice, not a clinical intervention
Possible delivery formats
- Workshops for a team or a manager group
- Coaching for individuals, commissioned by the employer
- Online or at the workplace
Intended learning outcomes
These are the outcomes a programme can be designed towards. They are not guaranteed.
- People with a small number of practices they can keep during a working week
- Managers who are clearer about the boundary of a wellbeing conversation
- An agreed route for anyone who needs clinical or occupational-health support instead
Proposed delivery approach
The programme is designed around the pressure the organisation describes. It is offered as professional coaching and training. It is not counselling, diagnosis or treatment.
How outcomes can be evaluated
Participant feedback and a review with the sponsor. Wellbeing scores, sickness absence and clinical outcomes are not promised, and clinical measures are not used.
Boundary
This is not medical treatment, regulated therapy or clinical mental-health support. If someone needs clinical care, that is said plainly and the work stays inside coaching.
Questions
- Is this therapy?
- No. Workplace wellbeing at UYP Academy is non-clinical coaching and training. It is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.
- Can a manager refer an individual?
- An employer can commission coaching. The person still has to want to take part. What the employer is told is agreed before the first session.
